'view cart' not found on some browsers

Has anyone ever heard of this?

We have a cart configured to show the View Cart and Go To Cart links, as well as the current amount in cart box (forgot their exact names).

An associate who was logged on to the site the same time as me, said that he couldn't see any of these cart related links or the box - while I was seeing each of these in front of me.

What browser? Is it possible that it was the IE peek-a-boo bug?
