Admin login problem (PHP 5.2.0 globals bug)

hi

i have just installed zencart 1.3.6

my system is

php 5.2.0
apache 2.2.3
mysql 5.0.27

using xp sp2

after installing zencart when i go to admin login page and enter my admin username and password it again present me with admin login page without my admin username and password and no notification of wrong user name and password.
i have installed 3 time just to make sure that i m not typing wrong username or password.

please help.

Did you uninstall the 'zc_install' dir.?
Did you try the 'Resend Password"?
Do your Control Panel Error logs tell you anything?

first two steps i have done but did not worked

what about control panel error log.where to find them
i even tried resetting the admin username and password to default by running sql query provided in the forum but still after clciking login it gives me back login page.

please help.

This is a PHP 5.2.0 bug (although, the symptoms are similar to other configuration problems that could exist on one's site if using a PHP version prior to 5.2.0).

Possible workaround is available here, until PHP fixes their bug:
