base price changed after adding amounts to attribut values

Hello,

I have set the base price of a product on my zen cart site to 26.90. I added to attribbuts: Children and addult. The base price applies to children while adultes will pay 11.00 in addition. When I added the price increase to all of the values of the Adult attribut, the base price changed to 37.90 (base price + increment). Actually, I want the base price to remain and when a user clicks on any of the values of the adult attribut,t the price of 37.90 will then display in the shopping cart.

I would highly appreciate if someone could kindly help to fix this.

I would suggest using radio buttons vs checkboxes ...

Otherwise, I can order 3 sizes at the same time and only pay full price for 1 of them ...

When I do select 1 adult size I get the 37,90 ...

When I select 1 child I get 26,90 ...

And when I forget to select, which is what checkboxes allow, I get 26,90 and you get to guess my size ...

Radio buttons is the better solution for both ... setup an Option Value of select from below on the Child size and Adult size so that they "should" make a decision ...

A better way would be to have the Product Priced by Attribute YES and products_price set to 0 ...

Then just the single Option Name: Size with Option Values:
Select your size: (Sort Order 0, Default YES, Display Only YES)
Children 29 29,60
Children 30 29,60
Children 31 29,60
etc.
Adult 36 37,90
Adult 37 37,90
Adult 38 37,90
etc.

This now forces the customer to make the right choice or they cannot add to the cart ...

Thanks alot for your reply.

I am working on it and will get back when I am through.

However, I am seeing a little problem. The reason why I selected the checkboxes is because someone can order two different sizes of the attribut value (say for example two pairs of adult shoes). Radio buttons do not allow multiple selections.

And checkboxes would of been:

26,90 + 11,00 + 11,00 for 2 pair ...

Now, when they add the 2 pair each will be priced separately and correctly ...

Thanks for the reply. I think this is the best solution that I have so far and it works well except for the multiple selection. Thanks for the help.

I added some pages using the EZ pages and added the links to the footer. However, the link text is not appearing. Its showing the colon, indicating that there is a link but the text itself is not appearing. If I point the mouse there and click, i am directed to the new page that I created.

I will appreciate if you could kindly help me to make the link titles visible. againe, my page is www.mooss.ch
