Does anyone know when this will be avalible? Also i have my current directory as "zencart" and wish to change it to "shop." i tired this but all the files didn't work cos they were referenced wrong in the php files. is there a quick way to chnage the installation directory?

it should be available.. but i do not suggest upgrading via fantastico as many others from the forums will tell you as well
quickest way is to rename the folder and edit the two configure files. see the tutorial about moving a site
