We are running Zen Cart 1.2.7 which we set up last April.
As of today, we have processed about 4,300 orders with very few problems.
However, we recently received three messages from customers that their Order Confirmations contained incorrect information. In each case, the recipient of the emailed Confirmation had placed an order, but the description on the confirmation was for another customer's order. The first of these messages arrived on October 31 and the other two during November, but on different dates.
It would appear that some minor glitch in our data base is causing Joe Smith to get a Confirmation addressed to him but with the items and prices of products purchased by Sally Jones.
Should we be purging our files or doing some sorts or other maintenance on a regular basis that we are not doing?
Should we anticipate that as time goes by and we receive more orders we will also have more customers get incorrect documentation?
Obviously, we want everything to work properly 100% of the time, but we just don't know if this is a symptom of a more serious problem or if it is just a minor glitch that we can safely ignore.
Thanks,
