    Default None of my side boxes are showing in rght column

    Hi everyone

    Here is the lead up to my problem.

    created a cart on one of my hosting sites, tweaked it till I was almost happy. Then moved the file over to a new domain on the same server. made the necessary changes in both config files to represent the new domain. Wouldn't have thought that there would be a problem with this.

    But somewhere in the transfer, something went a miss, not sure where as I have uploaded it to the new domain a couple of times to try and fix.

    My problem is that none of my side boxes are showing in the right hand column and prior to the transfer, they did.

    Below are my layout setting in configuration:

    Column Width - Left Boxes 150px
    Column Width - Right Boxes 170px

    Bread Crumbs Navigation Separator  ::
    Define Breadcrumb Status 1
    Bestsellers - Number Padding

    Bestsellers - Truncate Product Names followed by ... true
    Categories Box - Show Specials Link true

    Shopping Cart Box Status 1
    Categories Box - Show Featured Products Link true
    Categories Box - Show Products All Link true
    Column Left Status - Global 1
    Column Right Status - Global 1
    Column Width - Left 150px
    Column Width - Right 170px

    Categories Separator between links Status 0

    Categories Count Suffix )
    Categories SubCategories Indent   &nbsp
    Categories with 0 Products Status 0
    Split Categories Box True
    Shopping Cart - Show Totals 2
    Customer Greeting - Show on Index Page 1
    Categories - Always Show on Main Page 1
    Main Page - Opens with Category 0
    Categories - Always Open to Show SubCategories 1
    Banner Display Groups - Header Position 1
    Banner Display Groups - Header Position 2
    Banner Display Groups - Header Position 3
    Banner Display Groups - Footer Position 1
    Banner Display Groups - Footer Position 2 Wide-Banners
    Banner Display Groups - Footer Position 3
    Banner Display Groups - Side Box banner_box SideBox-Banners
    Banner Display Groups - Side Box banner_box2 SideBox-Banners
    Banner Display Group - Side Box banner_box_all BannersAll
    Footer - Show IP Address status 0
    Product Discount Quantities - Add how many blank discounts? 5
    Product Discount Quantities - Display how many per row? 5
    Categories/Products Display Sort Order 0
    Option Names and Values Global Add, Copy and Delete Features Status 1
    Categories-Tabs Menu ON/OFF 1
    Site Map - include My Account Links? No
    Skip 1-prod Categories True
    CSS Buttons No
    None of my boxes in the right column have overlapping sort orders so they should show.

    I am a little bit at a loss, any help would be so much appreciated.

    Below is a link to the site, in case you needed to have a look to see what I am talking about!!

    Look in the Configuration ... Website Maintenance ...

    What is your setting for:
    Down for Maintenance: Hide Column Right
    Down for Maintenance: Hide Column Right
    (true=hide false=show)

    true
    false

    Also check that your two files on the server:
    /includes/configure.php
    /admin/includes/configure.php

    are both using the same database prefix, database, username and password ...

    NOTE: do not post that information here ... just check it ...

    Hi ajeh

    Prior to posting I set both the sideboxes to show when down for maintenance, as normally I would not, but seeing how you would need to see them to get what I was meaning, I changed them, to show.

    Below is the define datebase connection code in my configue files minus the sensitive info. I have checked both config files and they are same in regard to your question. I do not have a DB prefix as I don't use a prefix, so I am assuming that the below is correct

    define our database connection
    define('DB_TYPE', 'mysql');
    define('DB_PREFIX', '');
    define('DB_SERVER', 'localhost'); // eg, localhost - should not be empty
    define('DB_SERVER_USERNAME', 'xxxxxxxxx');
    define('DB_SERVER_PASSWORD', 'xxxxxxxx');
    define('DB_DATABASE', 'xxxxxxxxx');
    define('USE_PCONNECT', 'false'); // use persistent connections?
    define('STORE_SESSIONS', 'db'); // leave empty '' for default handler or set to 'db'
    Thanks

    UPDATE

    I have turned off my right side box the time being. I am going to re-upload the backup and see what happens as I am having all soughts of issues like test orders not showing up in admin therefore doesn't produce any purchase history. Oh well at least the email works in as far as saying that I get the "NEW ORDER" emails every time I do a test order.

    Failing this, I might do a fresh install of 1.3.6 on work on a new custom template.

    I will post the conclusion when I know it!!
