    Default Stock tracking - all or nothing?

    My client sells some one-of-a-kind items and some inventory items. Can we only check stock on some of those or do we have to choose one way or the other for everything? When we receive items, do we just edit the item and change the quantity there to change the number in inventory?

    Thanks!

    Stock tracking is an all or nothing ...

    Everything gets tracked except Downloads ... at this time ...

    Hello...

    This is where I've been trying to modify, but haven't figured out, as of yet, how to get it to change the quantity when you get more of the product in-stock without having to go to the 'edit product' page.

    So say you're on page:
    categories.php?cPath=4&pID=1084&page=3

    And you have listing of product where under Quantity is:

    -----QTY
    1 Add Sub

    I'd like to be able to click on the 'Add' or 'Sub' sign to add or subtract qty for that particular item.

    I've found the location to put the href and link:
    href='categories.php?&pID=1084&addqty=1'>Add</a>

    Then I'll have to edit the categories.php file itself with something like:

    if ($_GET('addqty' == 1)) { ???? }

    Does this make sense? What code would I put to have it go into the db and add or subtract one from the qty?

    ------

    I've learned a lot from reading these boards... a couple months ago I knew nothing of php and now I can actually read the code and know what most of it means :)

    Thanks in advance for your help. Hopefully this'll be an easy one

    Jake
