Picture Size

Hi,

I want to change the size of the "big" picture product information. How I must to proceed?

If you mean the product info image this is set in admin > config > images > Product Info - Image Width and Product Info - Image Height

If you mean the size of the image when "larger image" is selected; this is sized based upon the size of the image provided.

If you are using the ZenCart system for images then you have a "small" image that is in /images, a medium image in /images/medium with the same name and a suffix of _MED, ans a large image in /images/large with the same name ans a siffix of _LRG.

It is the native size of the image_LRG.jpg that determines the size of the displayed image

Hey was looking for exactly this! :)

tell me this, If i have a coupl of thousand product images to load up, instead of maunually rename each and evry one with the _LRG suffix, can I leave this field in the images menu blank and upload the images with their current names to the /images/large/folder as they are, will they still show up?

I guess what I mean, is will the image-large image suffix field accept a blank value correctly?

OK So i actually went and tried this (albiet nervously) and it worked out ok.

One prob croped up though. before the cat page, product page and large image page all took their image from the small size image in /images/
now i've changed the large images to be taken from the images/large/
all the product page images are only taken from images/medium.

This means images are not just duplicated but triplicated. with so many products this means that room gets taken up fairly fast....

any solution to this or that the product page will be happy with using the regular (small) size images again, sp at least I'm only duplicating the images???

OK so I took out _MED as well and started uploading medium and large images to appropriate places.

But when I checked the site, the images on the product info page and larger image window had dissappeared completly.

so does anyone know a program or something that can rapidly rename a tonne of images with their original name+suffix?

really need some help on this

will the pages only take the images from /images/large/ ?

I was trying to add some organisation by placing images in the likes of /images/large/dvd/wicked/
but that seems to have been my problem (I Hope)
