Payment date never validates for any CC mod

Since upgrading to 1.3.6 I've not been able to make ANY card payment method validate the date. CC number itself if fine.

Tried all sorts of modules - removing and re-adding etc.

This is now officially driving me nuts!

For example,
4111111111111111 exp March 2008
gives
http://www.bowak.co.uk/jangro/checko...yment_error=cc
and no other error.
When using a different CC module, it says "invalid expiry date".

I've been and winmerged most things I can think of.

Hi, I know it's bad for to bump, but it's been four days and I need to be able to take orders!

Only other thing I can do is to wipe everything away and start again.
Don't really want to do that!

Did you change the date system to the European method in other places?

Hmmm, how odd! The email notification was from someone else and the post quote was:

Hi mate. Do you want me to look into this problem?

Anyway, Kim's here which is good! The places I changed it were as specified in the part of the wiki I can't find now, but anyway, it was mytemplate/english.php and the same for admin.

There's nowhere else, is there?

That email was sent by me mate

As I can understand it, the date which is being sent to the gateway is getting changed somehow

Yes, I'd LOVE some help. This is driving me nuts now.
Short of wiping the WHOLE thing and starting over, is there any way I can diagnose or debug this?

You might want to start by changing the date format back to stock and then making your changes one at a time to find where it breaks.

But there IS only one place, surely? And that's english.php

Where else could it possibly be getting changed?
