    Default Zend or Ioncube

    Hi,

This may be a stupid question but does ZC require one or the other of zend optimizer or ioncube?

When an install is done can it be specified?

    Thanks

    Rick

At the present time, Zen Cart does not require the use of Zend Optimizer or IonCube.
While having an up-to-date version of Zend Optimizer on your server may help speed performance, there is nothing in Zen Cart that requires or specifically utilizes services provided by such.

Typically those tools are used to handle encrypted code, which Zen Cart does not contain at present.

Does this still stand true? Our host needs to know. We are at 1.3.7.1 at this time on php 5.2.4.

    Still true.
