Default 1.2.6 > 1.3.6 - Language files (are they the same?)

    Hi,

Does anyone know if I can upload (and overwrite) my language files from 1.2.6 to the latest version without any trouble?

    Cheers.

They are similar ... but there have been a lot of new definitions added ...

Beyond Compare from scootersoftware.com can help you in comparing your files ...

Assuming that you of course used the templates and overrides on your language files you only have to compare the changed files ...

You did use templates and overrides ... right?

Yeah I used overrides. So what you're saying is that I need to compare my modified language files with my original 1.2.6 language files (using WinMerge or somesuch). Then making note of the differences and apply those modifications to the 1.3.6 language files?

If that is what you're suggesting, it sounds awfully laborious :-|

Actually what I do is compare the core v1.3.6 to the overrides from the template and just add the missing peices with Beyond Compare from scootersoftware.com ...

    Very handy tool ...

Hardest thing you might have is we also cleaned up the order a bit in v1.3.x ...

A search in the Developer's Tool Kit for the define in CAPS will help locate what it is and where it is defined if you need help confirming things ...
