Minimum Order Value per Product

I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I need to be able to force certain products to have a minimum order value.

For example, I have a number of products which require a £40 minimum order, each product has a number of priced attributes. I don't mind if they order a small amount of stuff as long as the code ensures that they pay no less than £40 at the check out.

Does anybody know of any plugins/mods that do this, I have found some that do this across all products but nothing that works on a product by product basis.

I am happy to try and build a module but I will need some assistance, can anybody help?

You can set a minimum number of items to be ordered in the product setup screen and this is on a product by product basis.

So if a product is $20 set the min to 2

Kobra, great minds think a like - this is what I first thought however the product itself won't allow this.

The products this needs to go on are sign letters, so the customer has a choice of size and then enters the letters/words they need, unfortunalty the min order qty doesn't work in this context as they could choose from 5 different font sizes at different prices per letter, hence the £40 minimum spend is different depending on the size.

Tajul_ashyqin, thanks for this but I have already had a look at the module and it adds a min order value to the whole site, I just need to be able to add a min order value per product.

I am currently trying to work through the code to see if I can modify it but my PHP skills are a bit limited.
