Idea or Suggestion Installing a Payment Module: Example- Direct Debit

I thought I would post an example to show new members how to install a module as I had to search a bit to understand the process myself. I hope this saves some frustration.

Installing Direct Debit module:
• Download the module from here:
http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&cPath=40_48&products_id=151
Unzip on your PC. The two files needed are hidden within the directories. The download is set up so you can see the file structure.
But if you find this confusing I will tell you another way to understand this:
• There are two files needed out of this download and both are named dirbank.php
One is 8kb in size and the other is 3kb.
All you need to do is find them in your unzipped module and upload these to the correct directories as instructed below:
Note: There is an override CUSTOM directory in the payment directory but ignore this and place the file exactly where I said.

/ includes / languages / english / modules /dirbank.php (8kb)

/ includes / languages / english / modules / payment /dirbank.php (3kb)

When you go to your Administration area > Modules > Payment
you will see Direct Bank Deposit in there ready to install and add your bank information.

This was my first module installation and so I thought I would post this for other new members.

P.S I have recieved allot of help in here
(thanks Linda)

I had the same issue when loading the files through the cpanel file manager.. (firewall)

Once I was home and used a ftp client to upload the files, it was all good to go ..

I tried this method but nothing happened. The Direct Bank Deposit option still did not come up in my payment module?

help question Re: Installing a Payment Module: Example- Direct Debit

Hi,
I tried what you suggested and when I go to Admin U find the following

Warning: include(/home/hookedon/public_html/includes/languages/english/modules/payment/dirbank.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/hookedon/public_html/admin/modules.php on line 173

Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening '/home/hookedon/public_html/includes/languages/english/modules/payment/dirbank.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/hookedon/public_html/admin/modules.php on line 173

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Regards
Sue
