Buy One -- Get One Special or Coupon

I've searched all over the forum for information on this (or maybe I'm not using the right search words), but can't seem to find anything.

I do almost all of my products as Price by Attributes as the products are available in different weights (I sell bulk cosmetic ingredients, usually by the pound) in either net weight ounces, pounds or fluid gallons.

I'd like to run a special promotion where if the buyer purchases an item at the regular wholesale price, they can get 1 more for 1 cent or $3 or 90% off on the second item only or something like that. It would be great if it was tied to a Discount Coupon set for 1-time use.

I cannot seem to grasp how to set this up. It is possible to do in Zen Cart?

I checked into this ... and it looks like a wonderful mod. It does:

* Buy item <x>, get item <y> at a discount
* Buy item <x>, get an item from category <b> at a discount
* Buy an item from category <a>, get an item from category <b> at a discount

What I need is:

Buy item <x>, get another item <x> at a discount

I may go ahead and install this anyway though. ;)

You can say add_prod_to_prod(2,2,50,"%"); to achieve "Buy one item 2, get the second item 2 at 50% off"

There is also an explicit add_twoforone_prod(2) to achieve "Buy one item 2, get the second free" but it sounds like your discounting scheme is more like the first example.
