change default image upload folder?

Hey y'all...
I'm just sitting here going blind typing in a bunch o' products, and was curious...
Is there a way to change the default folder for product item images upload? I've looked all over and can't locate that info.

In the Catalog ... Product Types ... Edit ... there is a default directory you can set for a subdirectory within the /images directory or leave at Main Directory for /images ...

update to this old thread for Image Handler.

I thought I had gotten lucky when I saw this thread, because I want IH to upload to a sub directory by default, but alas IH pays no mind to the the sub dir setting in Cat Prod Types Edit...

I still haven't figured out to make IH upload to a sub dir..by default or otherwise..

wait a sec' Linda,

the Upload to directory choice you pointed to is for uploading a default image for that entire product type, not for selecting a default directory for images of that product type.

It's worded that way, and I tested it by setting it to a sub and coming back .. it just goes back to Main. It's asking for an upload of a default image for all products of that that type??

Hi. Sorry for raising old thread but I wanted this also, customer keeps forgetting to set the directories and images are all over the shop now. So tried this setting but its not to set the default directory to upload product images to, its for as the last poster stated to upload the image associated with the product type itself to.
