Default ist one in with a question on upgrading 1.3.6 to 1.3.7

    Hi all Zen Guru's.

Thank you very much for the update to 1.3.7.
    Here is my question:

If I update from 1.3.6, with a Paypal installation, using module from PayPal that uses Pear, how should I proceed?
Does this module come with full fileset for PapPal Pro integrations?

    many thanks,

    Goshawk

The 1.3.7 with PayPal Express Checkout is just the shortened checkout procedure that uses the information stored in your PayPal account (if you have one) or accepts Credit Cards (on the PayPal site) for those customers without a PayPal account. The features for "Website Payments Pro" and the "PayPal Pro" gateway are still in the works and will be released in the near future.

    Thanks Kim,

Will there be a version of just the database update, and the changed files?
Or do I have to do a clean install again?

You do not need to do a clean install to upgrade. There are complete instructions in the distribution. Be sure to set up test site before upgrading your live site.

I just want to re-iterate what Kim said ...

Zen Cart v1.3.7 out-of-the-box supports PayPal Express Checkout.

It does *not* include Website Payments Pro support (ie: specifically the ability to collect Credit Card data on *your* site and send it to PayPal for authorization --- all without sending the customer over to the PayPal site to use their PayPal account to login and pay you). That will come later in another release.

It also does not include PayPal Pro, which some may recognize as the former Verisign option of processing Credit Cards via their payment gateway. If you have or need this, you can grab the PayPal Payflow Pro module from the contributions area for the time being. (There will be updates for this in the future too.)

Please keep all questions about PayPal Express Checkout in the forum area specifically set up for that:
