Default Where does new customer first see PP express?

I've installed 1.3.7 and enabled PayPal Express. Unless I'm mistaken, I don't have the PP Ex option until I've already signed in or created an account in my ZC.

This is counter to the explanation:

    New Customers
If the customer visiting your store doesn't already have an account and uses PayPal Express Checkout, an account is created automatically for them, and their password is emailed to them in the Welcome Email which sends when they return from the PayPal site after entering their PayPal login details and selecting their funding/shipping options.
which hints that a new customer can go directly to PP Ex. How do they get to PP Ex before they log in?

    Thanks,

When something is added to the Shopping Cart ...

Then you will see it if you hit the login or the shopping_cart ...

That's when I thought I should see it. But I don't see it until I've gotten to the payments screen. To get there I have to login.

    What am I missing?

    Thanks,

Have you gotten your key and password etc and configured your module correctly?

Yes, as far as key and password. Not sure what "correctly" means.

I DO see the PP Ex option after I log in and go to the Payment screen of checkout. I don't see it before then.

It's turned on, if you'd care to try the link in my siggy...

Any suggestions? Are there options in the configuration that would cause that behavior?

    Thanks,

you have to upgrade the checkout system templates

    Thanks!

The template you are talking about was being overridden by a GoogleCheckout modified template. I'm working on merging them.

I'll let you know how it turns out.

I merged the 3 template files that GoogleCheckout uses to include the PayPal Express pieces (or vice versa...) and put them in the override folder.

I see the big PayPal Express button on the shopping cart page now. When I click it, I get the following messages:

Warning: Missing argument 3 for _errorhandler() in /home/domains/chainmanbooks.com/web/includes/modules/payment/paypalwpp.php on line 2447

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/domains/chainmanbooks.com/web/includes/modules/payment/paypalwpp.php:2447) in /home/domains/chainmanbooks.com/web/includes/modules/payment/paypalwpp.php on line 1492

I deleted the override files and deactivated GoogleCheckout. I'm assuming that the system is now using the stock templates as provided by the 1.3.7 upgrade. Again, I see the big PayPal Express button on the shopping cart page. When I click it, I get the same messages as above.

    Any suggestions?

Hmmm ... well ... we know one thing ... you're getting an error :)

Replace that line 2447 with this and let's see what the error really is:
    Code:
      function _errorHandler($response, $operation = '', $ignore_codes = '') {

I replaced that line and the function worked! The PayPal sign-in screen was displayed. Evidently the calling proc does not provide arguments for one of the last 2 parameters.
