Display Sale items?

This question seems to have been asked a number of times with no satisfactory answer.

Is it possible to display the 'Sale' items similar to the 'Specials'?

The reason I don't want to use 'specials' is that I want to apply a sale discount of varying amounts to various categories and don't want to have to go into every product manually (600+ items). The 'sale' function is just what I need but I want to direct visitors to the 'items on sale'.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Not at this time ...

This would have to be customized to detect all of the Products in the given Category or Categories that a Sale is affecting to be able to find them all for display ...

This is on the list of fun things to do ... but I could not say when ...

Ok, no problem. Thanks for the reply.

I've created a 'SALE' category and linked all necessary products/categories into it. Still MUCH quicker than using Specials!
