Default Clarification on number of parms to an observer

The two "Real World" examples on

    http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.p...Observer_Class

have the update function taking a class and an event id. However, the first example
under "Update and Prosper" shows three parms:

    update (&$callingClass, $notifier, $paramsArray)

It looks like the first one is just an artifact from an earlier design, right? If so, I'll
correct the Wiki, but I wanted confirmation before doing this.

    Thanks,
    Scott

Default Re: Clarification on number of parms to an observer

While you are updating the tutorial, I was hoping for a favor. I am still new. I was looking at the BOGOF example (since that is VERY similar to whay I need). While the tutorial seesm to give great code snippets, it is not clear what files the snippets go in.

Could you please reveiw the BOGOF example and be sure to add the location and name of the newly created files where the code should be placed?

In fact, it would be VERY nice to have a zip file in the download area with the BOGOF example already ready already. :) I found the "empty sidebox" download helpful and think something like that for the Observer class would be even more helpful.

Also, the wiki refers to the phpDoc created documents. My host does not allow phpDoc on their servers. Would it be possible to have that documentation available for download from the wiki?

    Thanks so much!

The BOGOF example is really just an example - it won't work well in actual use because of taxes. There are other problems as noted at the bottom of the example. If you need buy one get one free, you should use Better Together.

    Good luck,
