Does anyone know if there is a mod for Protx Server?
I have seen the mods for Protx Direct and Protx Form but nothing for Server.
cheers & Happy New Year

Hi,
It doesn't exist. But to be honest, I don't sense any point in it.
From what I can tell about it, it is only useful to those who want to
build their own e-commerce systems. If you use Zen Cart then you can
use it to handle all of your order details. I don't see why you'd want
to have two systems recording order details. If you do, then it's just
a matter of calling a php script upon checkout success to update your
custom order database. If you were to do that then Protx Form would
take care of the Protx side in the same way that Protx Server does.
Saying all of that though, I cannot recommend the usage of either
Protx Form or Protx Server at all as they are amateur systems. Any
serious e-commerce site should use its own SSL certificate and have its
own checkout system. Many customers get turned off when they have to
leave a site to make payment at another address... you and I might
know it's secure but the general public feels uneasy about this so you
*will* lose sales by using such a solution.
Protx Direct is the only product from Protx I can recommend. If you
already have VSP server it's free to change over - just call Protx.
Hope that helps.
All the best...

Hi Conor,
Thanks for taking time to reply,
I agree with you that serious e-commerce site should use SSL and have their own checkout.
At the moment I'd rather leave the headache of storing customers card details with Protx, If my site were to be compromised then the best anyone could get would be a customers name and address.
I'll take a look at Protx Form. ( for now anyway :-) )
Thanks for the reply, much appreciated
