When using the credit card payment module with v1.3.7, I received a 1064 mysql error when trying to insert into the authorizenet table on final checkout. One of my store items had an apostrophe in the description, so I believe that was not escaped and terminating the query.
I removed apostrophe's from the descriptions and it seems to work.

You might check out the updated module code being tested here:

It has a few changes in it to trap for unexpected characters during database-inserts, including the one you mentioned..
