Default Diagnosing payment redirection failures netbanx

I'm now in the middle of implementing my third Zen-Cart store, I am constantly finding new features that blow my mind away it is soo awesome.

My first site used Netbanx for payments, my 2nd Paypal and I haven't been given details of this third one yet - I was told it and know there is a module, but forgot the name.

The paypal site is hardly used, but the original Netbanx site is now becoming fairly well used. Of the 300 orders approximately 3 have been paid successfully but no e-mails sent to customer, administrator or records created in the Orders table.

Following the most recent incident last week we contacted the buyer and he explained that the Netbanx payment was processed but when it went to return to the stores main site it gave an error message, not sure what it was.

So it appears to be an error or something happens on returning to Zencart with the payment success / failure details.

Can anyone offer any advice on this, or perhaps a way to start to diagnose the problem.

Currently Zen 1.3.0.2 (upgrade from 1.3.0.1). Will be upgrading to 1.3.7 once tested upgrade on development site.

    Thanks
    Mat

I've never used or researched Netbanx, so am not much use here.
    Some questions you might consider:

Did Netbanx charge the credit card? Do you have their money?

If so, does Netbanx email the customer anything, or is that entirely up to your site to notify them? Did the customer get the Netbanx email?

If Netbanx didn't actually charge the customer's card, then there must have been a communications problem getting the request to the bank. Or, the bank may have had a hiccup in their processing and couldn't process the transaction.

I've been trying to get Netbanx to improve their integration with Zen Cart (See Here) and have also written to their integrations team. I believe that it would be useful to have a payment module similar in function to the Paypal one, i,e

    1. Initially an order is set to a certain status (Pending?) before it goes to Netbanx.

    2. Once the transaction returns successfully from Netbanx then the status would be changed (Processing?).

Thus orders in Pending could be easily identified and acted upon.
