Default make "Free Shipping" - Zone sensitive - possible?

    zen 1.3.7

Product X is listed as "Free Shipping" in its setup and thus triggers the Free Shipper shipping module during checkout.

Is it possible to make Free Shipping available "if" shipped to a certain Zone, but bypass it to instead use other shipping modules if shipped to any other zone?

Geo sensitive would have been a better term.

I still would like to offer the item to all zones, not just to the zone that has free shipping.

The idea is that I'd like to offer free shipping for Product X if shipped to a U.S./APO/FPO address, but use regular shipping tables (MZMT) if shipped outside of that zone.

Any ideas of how to bypass this?

    Many thanks :-)

I just started using coupons myself, and noticed that it's possible to limit the coupons to zones and products (which is great! )

So maybe offering a freeshipping coupon would be a workable solution for you?

    Thanks Paul

The prob would be that some domestic customers would forget to insert the coupon and then later complain that they didn't get the free shipping

I think I'll post something in the Commercial forum, would be most cool to nail this down

    Thanks, again :-)
