Order Steps - Tableless small issue IE only

First of that you clyde, for yet another great contribution!

Forgive me, if this was mentioned in some other forum, I was unable to find a similar issue:

in IE 6 on step 2 the color bar stops 3/4 from the end of steps box (see jpeg) all other steps in IE 6 and all other browsers run all the steps flawlessly, where can I adjust this issue for step 2?

Give me the URL for your site so I can check.

Judging from the jpg I'd say its a width issue with IE6.

It's not as a result of this statement as suggested on another thread

In fact this statement can only help with this problem and not contribute to it. That's because this statement (known as the global whitespace reset) removes padding and margins from all elements unless you explicitly re-introduce them, thus allowing your order steps the maximum room in which to position themselves.

Despite this IE6 overflows sometimes. This is not a surprise. IE6 has some rounding errors that mean that even carefully calculated blocks sometimes just overflow spaces into which they are supposed to fit.

You could play about with increasing container widths by a pixel or two or reducing your bars similarly. YOu might even want to target the changes at IE6 alone using the techniques explained elsewhere on this site or easily found via Google.

Increasing the border to 2px got rid of the issue in IE 6 on step 2
