where the category picture is display on my product, i need a statement where if the category picture is the same as the product picture like on this page

i want zen cart to hide the picture on that page.

I am guessing you mean you want some kind of comparrision of the categories_image filename and the products_image filename

It looks like you keep them in different directories but the filename is the same ...

Which are you wanting not to show? The products_image or the categories_image picture?

basically if both the products_image and the categories_image are the same i only want to display the product picture and hide the products_image, both images have the same files name

as you can see in the example the picture on the left is the same as the picture on the right, if this happens on the product page i only want to display the product picture.

so i think i will need to have some kind of IF statement in the tpl_product_display_info.php file

Deep breath ... you want which one to stay?

Anyway, providing you know the categories_id (you will need to look this up as sometimes you know it and sometimes you do not depending on how you get to the product _info page on first click) the function zen_get_categories_image will give you the name ...

Note: you are using subdirectories so a little cleaning might be needed ...

Then the function zen_products_lookup can look up any products or products_description field based on products_id and field name ...

Both functions are in the:
/includes/functions/functions_lookups.php
