Installing Zen Cart on Tripod -Free web space

Hi Could anyone help to install zencart please?
i wanted to test zen cart hence i downloaded one free templates from templates monster. and also i downloaded "zen-cart-v1.3.7-full-fileset-12302006" from zen cart website which i think latest release.

i uploaded the files which i downloaded from zencart website ( not the templates from templatemonster) on to tripod free web space which support php4 and sql. and its unix based.

i followed the installation mannual. i changed the file permission to 777 where required.

but i am stuck on "Prerequisites" steps on installation.

i got the following error message.

System inspection result

PHP API Mode = cgi
PHP cURL Support = OFF
PHP Upload Support = OFF upload_max_filesize=; post_max_size=


PHP Output Buffering (gzip) = OFF

i tested oscomerce on same server and it worked fine.

please could you tell me what do i have to do? did i install wrong files from zen cart website? should i install older release of zen cart from zen cart web site?

That is telling you that many of the features will not work on that server such as downloads and uploads, many of the Payment and Shipping Modules or anything requiring cURL, GGI vs Apache, etc.

I would not host a live site there with those limitations ...

While many things will work ... you will have limitations on what you can and cannot do with your shop ...

did you mean my hosting doesnt support zen cart templates?

otherwise i didnt make any mistake

I mean those hosting limitations will prevent you from using a lot of the features of Zen Cart ...

I do not know what kind of shop you want to setup, but you will run into issues there ...

i cant even install it. i couldnt get throug all the steps. couldnt promt to put sql server details
