    Default Nifty Zen categories box overshooting black border

    I am having an issue with the categories side boxes in Nifty Zen overshooting the black border, and it get worse with smaller fonts in IE 6.x
    Here is my site:

    http://livewiredcomputers.com/store/

    I will aggree that I am not the best webmaster in the world.
    The categories side boxes are going past the border, especially when I change my browsers "view" settings to show smallest fonts. In contrast, it gets better when I choose larger fonts. I have also had people say has similar issues in Firefox. Also it is not fully optimized
    for firefox as in a few places there is overlay of text from one item to
    the next

    Thanks for any help, tips or just send me to the right posts

    Does making the change below solve your problem?
    h3.leftBoxHeading, h3.rightBoxHeading{
    background:#93D6E8; /* background color behind sidebox heading (blue default) */
    padding:0;
    margin-top:3px; ---> margin:0;
    width:100%;
    }

    Thanks for the help.

    Its not exactly as it should be but it helps.

    I tried exactly what you had put with no luck, then I messed around with a few different values and I came up with changing it to:

    padding:0;
    margin:20px;
    width:100%;

    This seems to do OK for now. It still looks weird under different view settings in the browser. Such as large - small fonts or different encoding options, but its ok for now.

    Thanks alot for your help.

    If you have any other tips please post when you can, please.

    The site is broken. Internet Explorer is covering that up by expanding the layout table cells to accommodate the odd instructions it's getting. Other browsers don't. I recommend that you take a look in Firefox - but be prepared to scream.

    The normal strategy is - get it working in a standards compliant browser such as Firefox and then fix any oddities left over in IE. My original suggestion was to remove margin that was pushing your siedbox headings and category box out of alignment in Firefox (though it shouldn't have been affecting the category box - a potential clue!) making it easier to see what problem lies behind it. Unfortunately you've gone the other way and greatly increased the margins making the problem worse in (I suspect) all browsers other than IE.
