Ok, if I want to upgrade to zen cart 1.3.7 and the server says I am on 1.3.7 but my version says i am on 1.3.0
what do i need to do? exactly.....
Does something literrally show Zen Cart v1.3.7 or does it say it is current?
Also, if you never did an upgrade in the past month or two you are on an old version ...

The guy who hosts my space on the server said that he shows it is 1.3.7. He said it is set up to automatically do the upgrades.
So if I upgrade, will I have to do all my settings again? All the payment modules, shipping modules ect?
Where exactly is the step by step guide to doing this? I checked some of the posts and while people were expressing issues, I did not see a step by step.
I am scared
Ok, he swears it is 1.3.7
we downloaded the program last july or august and used the latest version you had to offer. Does that help any??
thanks!

but it wouldnt be as old as 1.3.0 would it? This is very frustrating.
So what exactly needs to be done? Do we need to download the new 1.3.7 and reinstall?

You can do a test install and if you do a search on:
/new_shop
There must be a zillion threads where this is written up do as not to hurt your live shop while testing the upgrade on a second database in a new directory ...

Hi Linda,
I wanted to update you :) With minimal efforts on my server/hosters part and with only a couple of anxiety attacks on my part, we were able to update with little to no issues. I only needed to re-do my header and index php's.
I am now officially upgraded to zencart 1.3.7--my version, hoster/server, and checking for updates are all the same now. Lord, I need a drink
Thanks for your patience in answering my schizo questions :)
Kristi
