Suspension from excessive resources all of a sudden

My host recently suspended me, and I believe it was because my zencart was taking up excessive resources. They basically said "fix it or get lost." Thing is, I have been rhunning zencart for 1.5 years without a problem. Do you think this could be because I was running an older version? I can't remember the version off the top of my head, but my index.php file says this: // $Id: index.php 886 2005-01-05 07:00:34Z birdbrain $

Does anyone have any recommendations?

I am also having this exact same problem.
Zen cart has been running fine for over a year and all of a sudden our account has been suspended by the host for excessive resource use.

Unfortunately this installation was done before I came on the project. I wasn't the one who installed it, or built it, or really had anything to do with it. That person is gone, and now I'm here. Long story short I wouldn't know a change if I saw one.

I don't mind digging in the code, but I really have no idea what I should be looking for. It's like when your car breaks down and you pop the hood hoping whatever is broken is obvious. Unfortunately nothing I saw was obvious...

As far as date the file was modified, nothing has been touched since before I got here. As far back as 5/17/2005

you need to take a look in the folders,
look for anything that has been modified recently,
the modified dates will be displayed in the ftp

start by looking in the images folders,
and also view src on the index.php

see if you see anything about an iframe

I looked through the images folder so far and nothing has been updated within the past year.

I looked in the src of index.php, as well as the actual code and didn't find anything having to do with an iframe.

I'll continue to look through the remaining folders, but so far have found no files that have been updated within a year, some older.

The index.php file has been updated recently, but that's from our host renaming the file to stop the resources being consumed.
