Automatically Overlay a "Sold Out" on Attribute which is Out of Stock

Hi, I am using the Products with Attributes Stock mod. as my store has heaps of products with attributes.

Is there a way where I can overlay the phrase "Sold Out" for an attribute which is out of stock? At the moment, out of stock attribute is still displayed and customer wanting to order product of those attribute(s) would only know that it's out of stock when they add the attribute to their shopping cart. This is rather inconvenient from the customer's view point.

I read some time ago that the Image Handler2 mod. uses a filter of some sort to overlay a transparent image over a product image adding an additional "+" sign at the lower right hand corner. Perhaps the "Sold Out" image can take a similar approach. Can anyone advise if there is already a mod. that does what I mentioned above? Or is there a more straight forward method? I'm all ears.

By default Zen Cart does not have stock-by-attributes so what you are seeking is not tracked and therefore can not be flagged as out of stock
