Idea or Suggestion 1 item per box table rate shipping

    Hello,

I'm searching for a way to force 1 specific item to be 1 box.
I've already set up small and large package in option, I just want to be more more specific because I can't cut some item in half.

    thank you

Sometimes Sears puts their Craftsman saws on sale ...

For changing the way a box is calculated you would really have to do quite a bit of customization ...

What shipping module(s) are you using?

I use the table/zone module (the one you can define price per weight and define wich countries to apply it to) for my shipping.

Let's say I have 1 product that needs its own box and 7 other products ... can you spell it out as to what should happen on the charges?

ok, so the solo product will have his shipping cost depending on the shipping country/zone (I configured my zones) and the weight.
The 7 others one would be in a second box with same shipping restriction.

If a customer take 2 or more of the solo item each item will be a box.

    thank you

Could you post your settings for the Shipping/Packaging and your settings for the shipping?

I need to have a think on this for a few ...

I need the rates settings of your zones to see how you are breaking things up ...

23 is the maximum right now ... does it blow the calculation if these 1 per box products were set at 23? Or does that make it too much?

Do you just need the 0.18 added on for these 1 per box products? Or do you need something more?

Here is an example on how I set up my zones :

    Zone 2 Countries
    IT,SP,GB,DE,BE,AT,DK,GI,IE,LI,LU,NL,PT,VA

    Zone 2 Shipping Table
    0.1:1.40,0.25:4,0.5:6,1:8.5,1.5:11,2:12.5,3:18,4:19,5:20,6:21,7:22,8:23,9:24,10: 25,15:29,20:33,25:38,30:43

23kg is too much for those items, there are quite big not too heavy and we can't cut it in smaller package so we send it directly.

The 0.18 is fine for every items, solo one included.

    thank you
