    Default Upgrade - Drop Tables

    Okay, I have the instructions before me on upgrading - they look relatively easy other than one question. All of the instructions I can find talk about dropping the tables on the new database - how do I do that in phpmyadmin?

    Thanks for any help, I know the answer is probably obvious but can't figure it out!

    In your phpmyadmin's SQL query page, type:

    DROP TABLE tablename;
    Note: Do a backup of your targeted table first though (for safety).

    If you are upgrading ... why are you dropping your tables?

    The instructions I found said that you should do the following:

    1. Make a backup of existing database
    2. Fresh install in new subdirectory
    3. Edit newly created database and remove all tables
    etc

    This is to upgrade from 1.2x - to the latest version. Am I confused? :)
