Default Can ZenCart be used for this application

    Hi there,

A friend of mine wants to start a Supper site where people would order from a menu of items, no problem there. However he needs to work in cycles i.e. Orders placed between 1st - 10th of the month gets picked up (frozen) on the 15th of the month, orders placed between 11th and the 20th get picked up on the 25th of the month etc.etc.

Is it possible to do this with a standard ZenCart installation?

If not would it involve major customization?

If so, are there any other products out there that could cater for this.

    Thanks in advance

    Tony

    Hi there,

Thanks for taking the time to seek clarification.

The web site will sell pre-cooked meals. These will be picked up in a frozen state. There will only be 3 pick-up days in a month, which means there are 3 ordering periods in a month. So anything ordered between the 1st of the month and the 10th of the month will be ready for pick-up on the 15th of the month etc etc.

Please feel free to ask any other questions.

    Regards

    Tony

That is a matter of logistics. Specify on the ordering page the rules.

Any orders from the 1st to the 10th go in one pile for pick up on the 15th, etc.

I did nearly the same thing for a florist. I have a calendar dropdown attribute that is 120 days in advance. The florist just files the invoice by requested shipping date on each order.

Making a dropdown calendar would work for your purpose.

Is the dropdown calendar attribute available in the download section?
