Downloads - products marked out of stock???

hello,

I've managed to get downloads working both free and chargeable. However, even though they are marked in stock, can be ordered and do download, they all report as follows when added to the cart...

Products marked with *** are out of stock

Any idea what I may have set up wrongly?

Do not set Downloads as:

Product is Virtual
Product is Always Free Shipping

Downloads are always marked NO to these questions ...

NOTE: downloads do not track as stock at this time ...

These are both set to no.

Products order and download without effecting the stock amount. Everything seems ok and works as it should except for the out of stock warning while adding to cart.


Could there be a setting in the attributes that effect sthis?

Have you entered products quantity.. i.e. 98

Yes I've got this set to 1000 (thinking it would decrease) but it remains static which I now understand is as it should be.

And via same screen, you have products status marked in stock
and date available set to at least today's date or yesterday's is preferable to
make sure?
Otherwise, without seeing actual url of your site, difficult to help/advise
further.

Yes, marked in stock. Hadn't set a date but when I did it had no effect. My site is testing on a local installation so don't know if it will show or not but may be viewable at

Yes, possible to access BUT you have your config files set
as http://localhost so not possible to visit all pages in your
zencart setup.

I've changed this to the proper IP so should be accessible to the outside world now. If slooow...

Checked again, and without admin details to login, not possible to
see where problem is.. I suggest you install an additional zencart,
on localhost, BUT opt to have demo products installed.
You can then see, from this new install, how downloads are configured,
then compare with your existing cart. Sorry cannot help you further
at this stage.
