Get Rid of Customer Details

I need to be able to have customers log in to write reviews, but I do not want them to have to provide any of the information under Address Details (except for name) or Additional Contact Details. I am not selling anything. The "customers" are there only to write reviews of "products."

I just want to know how to do this without all the interrogation and discussion that I have read in various threads surrounding this issue. Zencart is able to be set up as a showcase, and it is set up to have reviews written, so why can it not be that simple "customers" can log in and write those reviews on those showcased products?

For showcase style stores, this might work - but for other stores, it would be impossible to determine taxes, shipping, etc. without an address, so it wouldn't work.

Downloadable goods only kind of shops it would be quite useful.

I do not need to know the customers name or address, I need to be able to associate their order to an identifier and nothing is better than their email address.

I do not ship, so why inconvience the customer?

Nope Melinpa1969, I only accept PayPal, and as such have zero need for any information other than email and password.

Having looked at it a bit, this is the roadblack I have run into:

whos online
Customer report
admin screen
orders

Are just the four biggies that are going to have to be modified.

It would seem that this might really need to be a job for the development crew for a future release, as I would hate to invest the money into having this modified only to be negated on the next upgrade.

Merlinpa1969, it worked exactly as you said (No surprise there), new customer came in, did express checkout, and not only did they have to register, but PayPal built them an account automagically. So it was even better than I was looking for.
