Customer password and the 'Welcome' email
I had someone set up my site using 1.3.7.
In the uncustomised version, in the page that comes up when you hit 'log in', and in the panels to create an account, the standard wording was "Your password will be emailed to you after you register" and I asked the coder to change it to, "No need to remember your password: it will be emailed to you after you register"
Now the site is set up and I am testing it, and I have just created a dummy account and logged in and noticed that the Welcome email does NOT tell the customer the password that the customer has just created !
I have looked in the zen-cart forums and I cannot find anything about this.
One answer is just take that line of text out, but I wonder why the original message was there if in fact the password is not emailed to the new customer.
Is there something that can be turned on in Admin so that the password IS emailed to the new customer within the Welcome email?
Or perhaps, does this feature of sending the password, relate only to earlier versions of Zen-Cart?
