Setting up a download item

Can anyone tell me where I might find the instructions on setting up a downloadable item??

I did several searches, just have yet to find what I'm looking for.

well the above links are how to se up downloadable items ... first you need to add your prodcut then you need to add what you want to call the download I just called them download 1, 2 etc ... and then you assign your products the download in your attribute settings which in there when you scroll all the way down you add your file : something.zip then you add that file via FTP in your DOWNLOAD folder of the store and there you have it .... like I said that is all in the above two links I sent you. There is no other way.
