Whos Online Error in Admin & Store

Hi
I have a simlar problem to Resea below, but need some exrta help as I really can't find how to fix it.

I'm using v 1.3.0.2 and the follwing error appears on my store's home page and in my admin panel when I click on "who's online":

1034 Incorrect key file for table 'cbwhos_online'; try to repair it
in:
[delete from cbwhos_online where time_last_click < '1172823302']

I've tried to find the file in phpMyAdmin, but can't. I've been going round in circles for ages and can't figure it out....

I'm not too clued up, so please don't use long words...

Hmm, I think the table might refer to the database but I can't swear to it as I am very new and non-familiar also. But you could check in the DB and see if that reference is there. If it is *do not* do anything without backing up the DB **FIRST**.

In phpMyAdmin, when you list your database tables ... check the checkbox for whos_online and do a Repair from the dropdown ...

This should fix that table ...

Would you be so kind as to walk me through the steps to find the checkbox for whos_online? I have the same error but am useless with phpmyadmin

thank you for this post - it just saved my (tofu) bacon!

why might that have happened to our store?

did it just get corrupted?

especially odd, considering that we have the "Who is Online" turned off
