Login under category box

Hey all. Pretty new at this; just learned how to customize most of my site. My client wants the "login" link (or even a box, that would be cooler) to be on the left side under categories. How can I do this?

I've added the login box to our site. We are currently using the sunflower_orange template.

After downloading (following the instructions) it has produced a login box in the sunflower_ornage template style but also added all the same information below in an 'unframed' box' . So all the login information is duplicated!!! Any ideas how to sort this please?
