Ok... need everyone's help

My site is generating 50-100 unique hits a day. Not exactly where it needs to be, but without paying for traffic, not bad and it is indeed increasing. What i need help with is a critic. I am having a few questions I can not understand why I am getting a decent amount of people creating accounts..and not as many purchase... like less than 50%... following them through their clicks most seem to stop during shipping.... a few have gone to confirmation then back then nothing. Is there something I am missing? Shipping seems to work fine for me. I use firefox and my page takes almost a minute to load on dialup.. I have removed the slide show and it only added 5 seconds... I prefer to keep the slide show. the site runs very well for me.. but.. that is me... My product line is amazing... my prices very competitive... I know it takes time to grow an online business... BUT I want to make sure I am not missing anything. A fresh pair of eyes would do me great. Are their any errors I am missing? I have found a few attribute problems, but i have fixed what i have found... Thanks to all that help...

Kim I ran that already with firefox and I tried to speed it up.... but that is about the best I could do... Got any suggestions?

Clyde... wow that is a long laundry list.... Where did you pull that one and how do I find the file to fix it?

As you use FireFox you can get the 'tidy' extention and when you view your source on ant page it will indicate the errors.

Or you can enter a page url here http://validator.w3.org/ and get similar results

Start with getting a good image optimizer - your header image is 70k - you should be able to get that down to 20 or less. Dump some of the sideboxes and the cheesy monkey background in the footer ... and the black on black text in the footer will cause you headaches when the search engines ban you for spamming.

Done and Done.... I actually read on an SEO site that it was good to do that...
After you posted this i did a lil more research and most of the SEO sites agree with you... Ooooops

Its taken care of now.......

And I like my cheesy monkey......

It took a lot of work to get all of that lined up and such

The link you gave seems to be the same thing as the HTML validator in firefox.... no??

Another detractor might be that you are using a shared SSL and your customers see that they are transferred from your site to ???.ehostspros.com in their browsers and pack their CC away and leave.

A private SSL is only $16USD/year(plus the fee for a dedicated IP) and might mitigate this if this is the problem.

Some research indicates that many are mis-trusting about being automatically navigated away from the original site
