A private SSL is only $16USD/year(plus the fee for a dedicated IP) and might mitigate this if this is the problem.

Some research indicates that many are mis-trusting about being automatically navigated away from the original site
Really...... so they would pay attention to the browser enough to notice that even tho the screen remains the same?

Wow... never thought of that... do you know of a company you would recommend for a private ssl? and, how would that work as far as the address in the address bar?

ok... I am a little confused by the validator... i fixed several errors... but many errors it lists are not true.. no closings > yah they are all there.... No " yah they are there too... and some of the errors are in java scripts... Am I to (gulp) assume that because it is java script it is not reading it? but I addressed the other issues....

    image smaller......

    no text in footer.....

Addressed errors I could (at at least know how to)......

Looking into private ssl........ (Wow... Really?).......

Keeping cheesy monkey............. ( I know.....)......

    Anything else?

I have considered re doing the categories... I just didnt want 100 pages of product in the same listing. I would not go through 100 pages of the same product.. Also, if I am familiar with the line... I have preferences to just look there instead of having to weed through lines I dont care about... Does that make sense?

The validate HTML in the toolbar is part of the web developer tool kit.

HTML Validator (TIDY) is a seperate add on. once installed you'll see an icon in the status bar either a green circle, a yellow triangle or a red X. Also everytime you view the source of your page you'll see a list of errors/warnings for that particular page in a left side box and in the right box an explanation of what the error(s) are and hints on how to correct them.

The upper portion of the view source will be highlighted on the line(s) where the error(s) occur.

JMHO- but too much emphasis is placed on dedicated SSL certificates. Most consumers don't know the difference between shared and dedicated and they don't care as long as the site doesn't throw up warnings and the lock is closed.
Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.

Fully true - but some do...and if this is say 3% and you are getting 100+ interest and loose 3 sales per 100 an investment of $30-40 per year is not unreasonable and they may be repeat customers??

I don't know.. there's really nothing about your company on there.. not even an "about us" page. There's WAY too much wording for shipping and returns.. and with everything being centered on it it looks like @$$

I would strongly encourage you to install some kind of tracking program.. like Google Analytics.. and find out where people are leaving. 50-100 unique hits a day, though its great, is usually not an accurate figure. It doesn't take into account spiders, AOL users (switches IP in the middle of a session) among your own hits to your site. Analytics filters out most of that crap and you can set rules to filter out your own IP address.. so you get more accurate stats. You can also watch where people enter, where people leave, how long they spent on the site.. etc etc.

Personally speaking I wouldn't purchase from your site mainly because of the following reasons:

    A) No company information.. is it a demo store.. is it a scam store.. no clue
    B) Header image doesn't fit with the rest of the site.. you don't have any pink / purple colors anywhere except that header file.
    C) Another comment about header image - the small white line towards the far left of the image needs to be kicked out. I would also recommend expanding that pink background bar all the way across and bringing the girl in front of it.. so it looks more continuous. Right now it looks like its just pieces of a puzzle
    D) Side graphics - Google checkout & PayPal verified.. get rid of white space. Make them GIFs and make the white area transparent.. or just make it black
    E) Explain UPS shipping rates. It only shows Ground, 2nd day air, etc. I found this to be an issue on my own site.. people didn't know how fast FedEx would deliver so they quit checkout or used USPS regrettably. The best place to explain shipping rates is on the shipping page itself
    F) Stock shopping cart buttons have to go.. they don't match your site
    G) Check spelling in certain areas.. 'inhance' -> 'enhance' : http://yourlingerieparty.com/index.p...d=19&chapter=0 . Thats the first one to pop out at me but you get the idea.. gotta go over it with a fine toothed comb
    H) your products need to be more descriptive

I'm sorry for knocking your site so much.. so here's some positives about it :)

    A) I like how the pictures are clear, not fuzzy and sh!t like that. The worst thing you can do to an ecommerce store is load up fuzzy pictures.
    B) Background for sidebox headers fits well with the site.. even though thats the only place they are.. i guess i'm weird like that
    C) The monkey on the bottom is cool.. dunno how well it fits with the site.. but its not taking away anything.

Hopefully that will get you moving in the right direction. I know I'm not a pro at setting up a ZC store and getting it to run, but I shop online frequently. I don't mean for any of this to be personal / hurtful or anything like that.. just stuff that comes to mind when I compare your site with others out there. The best thing to do, is start looking at your competitors' sites. See how they work, see why they're successful, then emulate it and do it better than them

The cheesy monkey is just kinda silly... no problem. But the "Your IP address is" looks like spying. People don't want to be reminded that they are not really anonymous on the web. What possible use is it to display that anyway?

Configuration > Layout Settings > Footer - Show IP Address status.
