UPS Rates updates or integration??

I have configured my cart to use Paypal and UPS. I am not using any tare/percentage weights as the packaging is already figured into the shipping weight of all of my products. The problem I am having is that the rates that the cart are generating are twice (per my UPS online shipper account) what UPS charges. Is there an update to the UPS rates that can be downloaded and installed? Is this a Paypal issue? I have my settings on RDP and residential delivery. There is no handling fee.

UPS rates are obtained directly from UPS in real time.

Check your "tare" settings to be sure you're not uplifting the amount of package weight being added for shipping purposes. See Admin->Configuration->Shipping/Packaging.

I have that set to 0:0,

Using my online shipping account with UPS the shipping amount is half the zencart amount for the same weight. However, if you go to UPS.com and have it calculate the rate is close to zencart. Is there someway to integrate shipper accounts into UPS like USPS? Apparently I am getting a better rate than the average shipper.

this is the difference between
list rates ( what you pay )
and
published rates ( customer pays )

Just turn on the shipping method in Admin->Modules->Shipping

Unfortunately if I let the system charge $10 shipping on a $10 item, I will probably not sell many. There has to be a solution somewhere. Do I need to have a custom mod written?

the solution is to adjust your weights,

lower the weights until it gets to what it costs to actually ship
either that or dont use UPS.

UPS sends you the published rates, you are not allowed to display list rates

My problem is just the oposite. I have to add tare weight just to get it to come close.

16 lbs package UPS advertised rate is $12.84

23 lbs package zen cart calculates to $12.82

What is up with that?
