After log out can't log back in unless......

I have the cart set up as have to log in to browse. If the session times out you are are taken to the login page where you can log back in no problem if you need to. During a session if you choose to log out by clicking the log out link you are taken to the login page same as before but if you try to log back in you are returned back to the login page with no error message. You can log back in if you first click the Home link, or go to another page then come back which reloads the login page and then enter the login information. This could be confusing to a customer. Seems like some buffer needs to be cleared or something? Any thoughts?

Is there a way I could pm you to give you a customer email address and password to login with. You have to login and then log back out with the log out link in the upper left hand corner.

What happens if you switch to Classic template?

I haven't tried that yet. If I switch will I be able to switch back without having to manually reset all the options that I have set up so far? If it turns out that the problem doesn't exist in the classic template will it be possible to track down the cause and fix it in the sage template?

Changing templates is just a switch to use the code in one template or another ...

They are managed separately so that they do not interfer with one another ...

Switching to Classic, providing you are using templates and overrides correctly, can help identify if the issue is template related or not ...

When in doubt ... back up your database before making changes and you can always get back to where you were ...

I tried it with the classic template and the same problem still exists. It didn't make any difference. If you want to also try it I will have to change the template back again, because I'm about to change it back to sage. Just ask and I will change it back for you.
