Gen Questions about Zen

Hello,
What are the major advantages or differences between zen and creloaded if anyone knows? I've found that cre is loaded with bugs!
I am aware that the Zen founder was the Cre founder.

Can Zen run on your pc for test purposes without jumping through a lot of hoops, or must it be on a server?

I run ZC on my laptop for local development. I use xampp as the local server. the install instruction are pretty clear for xampp and then you just put the zen cart directory in the htdocs folder and point your browser to http://localhost/YOUR_STORE_NAME and your off and running. I currently have 12 store in local development on my laptop, makes it easy to go find a place nice and quite to play.

As far creloaded...don't know never used it.
