Why is my background not white?

Hi,

I've got a slight issue with my site ( www.handcrafteduk.com ) I was hoping someone can help with? For some reason my background isn't white although I have specified the HEX code as #FFFFFF. In the space below I have included the code from my css stylesheet. I would be greatful if someone could glance over this and let me know what needs to be changed!

what part of the site is not white ? I'm looking and just the header area has a green background... is that what you are referring to ?

Thanks for the reply. It's a kind of yellowy colour! If you compare it with a website which has a white background, you can see the colour difference.

I have a plugin in my browser which can show me the color of any pixel i click on, on any given website.

It shows FFFFFF for your background.

I also have a plugin which will show the CSS of any point clicked on. So for example, I click inside one of the sideboxes and it also reports FFFFFF as below:

Why not post that message in the same forum. you'll get the pros answering your questions about speed there! It might also be worth posting your website address with your message so that people can take a look.

With my own site, I have optimized my images in the admin and also using a mod called image handler (available from the zencart mods section).

It's white. Check your monitor settings...or start worrying about your graphics card!
