help question Testimonials Sidebox problem with custom stylesheet

I have a client where the cart is secondary and the content (ezpages) primary to the site. On the ezpages he wants the testimonials shown, but in the cart we need other sideboxes to show.

I know how to turn on and off styling, but with the testimonials manager it is different. It is in its own separate stylesheet.

    There are several issues here:
    1. Should I put the testimonials style into the main stylesheet so I can turn it off page by page.

    2. Am I really going to have to set up a separate stylesheet for all of the following pages or is there some other name I can give to the stylsheet that it will be read in all these pages.

    Pages are login, account, account_edit, address_book, account_password, conditions, checkout, confirmation, shopping_cart, privacy, product_info, checkout_shipping, checkout_payment.

The index page has to have the testimonials box so if I use the main_page.css would that effect the index page also or will that not effect the aforementioned pages.

Somewhat confused and trying to write as little extra code as possible.

I rather think that you're getting hung up on the wrong question. Although it is possible to control whether or not a block of HTML is dosplayed or not via the CSS display style, it's the the approach that I would recommend for large blocks of content.

Instead I would recommend that you take a look at this FAQ entry which shows how to turn the left and right columns on and off by page, and this FAQ entry that does the same for individual boxes on EZ-Pages. The second is probably closer to what you want to do and although not exactly that, does illustrate the general approach.

More confused than ever the front page index is not an ezpage and must have the testimonials on it. All the ezpages are working the way I want by using the chapter_0.css so that is not the problem.

I can not just turn the sidebox on for some pages it needs to be on for all pages and it is not on the ezpages I want it turned off (testimonials) It is on the shopping cart pages.

The new files are out for Testimonials 1.4 but there is no directory structure with them like they say so I can't even try that.

I'm not suggesting that you use the EZ-Pages approach directly on your site, but that you use it as an illustration of the approach that you should use to display (or not) your other sideboxes on the pages that you listed.

I believe that if you open the folders:new_installation or upgrade you will find that the directory structure is indeed as stated.

I believe that even the install.txt and upgrade.txt files even state that you should open these folders before uploading the contribution.

Sorry, I had only looked as the files as they were in the zipped file not in the add to the disk file.

The file structure was there after I successfully unzipped and added to a file.
