Quantity sold out?

Hi,

I am trying to get some test products to show up and I have been half-successful. Trouble is, they do not show the quantity or the manufacturer and they are being listed as sold out when they are in stock.

If anyone is able it would be much appreciated.

Hey Fresh,

In the admin: configuration section you can turn off the sold out message. I have to pop into my admin and find it but I know it's there.

Found it.

In admin~configuration~Stock.

The line that says "Products status in Catalog when out of stock should be set to"

turn that one off.

I think that will do it.

Thanks for that but unfortunately, that isn't the solution. I am not worried about the Sold Out sign as such, more the fact that the products are not actually sold out but are showing no quantity available.

Check that you have entered a stock quantity in the catalog/product setup screen for each product

I am having the same problem and I am not sure what to do either. There is not a box to enter stock quantity in the catalog/product setup screen. Not sure why this is as my friend uses zen cart and hers does have the option to enter stock quantity!

What version of Zen Cart? I do not recall any version that did not have this feature. Could be that your files might be corrupt

Think I have version 1.3.0.1. I have been told on this forum that it's a very old version and needs to be updated but I am not sure how to do this (someone set up the shop for me initially and I only know the real basics i.e how to add products). I will ask him to update it for me and see if this fixes the problem. Thanks.

I'm having the same issue but with only 1 product. As you suggested, I have a quantity in the Products Quantity box. Still shows up as Out of Stock while checking out. I'm also using the current version of Zencart 1.3.7

Don't know if this is the resolution but in Admin/Stock, I switched off Check Stock Level. Now when I add this item to my cart, there's no Out Of Stock message.
