Default Upgrade is ready to go, but what about new orders/changes on old cart?

Ok I finally finished the new site in a separate directory, I duplicated and upgraded the old DB. But the CSS and Upgrade process took longer than expected, so I have received new orders on the old/current cart. What is the best way to go about getting any new orders/changes to the new site?

    Thanks

Where is your live cart? Is it in the root directory or its own directory?

I've got the Current Live Cart in /cart
and the new install in /catalog with a separate DB.

When the new one goes live I was planning changing the directory name back to /cart , to preserve and links.

Which DB are you planning on using in the end? If it's the currenly live one, you can run zc_install again to update the DB before going live with the updated cart.

You may be able to export the live DB and import it into the updated version. You'll probably have to limit that to the customer/order tables only. Someone else might be able to give you better information on doing it that way.

I just tried making a new duplicate of the Current DB, and updating it, but when I linked it to my new cart the layout got a little messed up, any Idea whats up with that? It would be cool if I could just update the customers and orders.

Opps I didn't change the DB name in my admin config file. Ok so it looks like the new orders came over no problem. I guess the only problem is that any changes I made in the admin, I'll have to make over again. So now the question is, is there anyway to only update the customer/orders in the DB?
