    Default Top level category - display products + sub categories

    Is there any way to have all products (and subcategories) in a top level category display when you select the category even though there are sub categories? I don't have a lot of products and I want customers to be able to choose between browsing all products in a category or choosing a sub category to browse.

    Thank you!

    Sorry, there is not a way to display products and subcategories together.

    There are a couple of ways to display all products, though.
    First is the "All Products" listing which appears by default under your category menu;
    if you don't want to display *all* of your products at one time, but just all from one category, you could make a subcategory for that category called "All Products" or "All Xxxxxxx Products" and link all the other subcats' products into that one.

    Thanks, I had a hunch that was what I was going to have to do. Can I assume that it is OK for a product to reside in more than one subcategory then? ie. one product in "All xxxx Products" and the same product also in another subcategory? And would I accomplish this simply by creating the various subcategories and adding the same product with its description and everything into each category, or is thee a simpler way of associating a single product with multiple categories?

    Thanks again for your help!

    I dug around a bit further and figured out how to link to multiple categories.

    Thanks much.
