red flag Two databases. Which one is the current one?

    Hi,

I am trying to upgrade my zencart. But I realised that I have two databases. From memory, this is probably due to moving the cart from a folder called "/cart" to the root directory. So now I don't know which database is for which. How do I find out? Is it safe to delete the cart thats in the folder and keep the other one that's in the root directory? For your information, in my cpanel in fantastico, I only see one current installation, which is the /cart but not the root directory. Please advise. Thanks in advance.

    Regards,
    Ethan

What you want to do is look in the:
    /includes/configure.php

    in the Live site ...

This will show you the database, username and password for the Live Site ...

NOTE: be sure to backup both your site and database before attempting an upgrade and you should really do a test upgrade in a test directory with a test database that has a copy of your Live Site to see if there are any tweaks etc. to be done ...

    Hi Ajeh,

Thanks for your help. How do I do a test upgrade in a test directory since the test cart is already the latest version v1.3.7 ?
